Mental Health First Aid

What is Mental Health First Aid?

Mental Health First Aid, similar to CPR, teachers individuals how to spot the signs and symptoms of someone potentially experiencing a mental health related problem/crisis. While Mental Health First Aiders cannot treat these problems, they will learn how to help support that individual and how to connect them to qualified resources.

What You Learn

The course teaches you about: depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, psychosis, substance use disorders as well as an action plan to use for both crisis and non crisis situations.
