The Lighthouse Project is a located in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania. Our mission is simple: to provide an all inclusive therapeutic learning environment to meet the unique needs of children facing social, emotional, mental, and behavioral issues.
Our day program accepts students in the Pre-K ages (3 - 5 years) and Kindergarten (5 - 6 years) on a rolling basis. All enrollment depends on space availability. We are now accepting enrollments for Fall 2024.
"412 Foster Project fills a huge current gap in early childhood education. I adopted my daughter through foster care and she has a lot of big emotions and can be very aggressive at school due to being picked up by caseworkers she didn’t know multiple times per week and taken to visits she didn’t want to be attending. When this program opened, it was such a relief to know that Alayna could attend school again and we both knew she was safe and loved there. I didn’t have to worry about picking her up early and I didn’t have to worry about her screaming and crying when I dropped her off like she would do at her previous day programs. The best part of the program is that they always work with the kids with the goal of them returning to a traditional school where they can be included with other students when it makes sense and we got to experience this firsthand. I will forever be grateful to Jenna and Ginny for the love and support they have given us and continue to give us for Alayna to be successful."
Our day program supports children with social, emotional, mental, and behavioral issues through the Pre-K and Kindergarten years. We are a trauma informed program to meet the unique needs of each child. This program provides a holistic and therapeutic approach to help prepare these children with the skills they need to transition into a traditional school program.
Our program offers a holistic approach to addressing the unique needs of each student. Our services include space for physical, occupational, and speech therapy onsite as well as an in house clinical social worker to provide support. We also can provide IEP services to ensure all of our students are getting the care they need and are also prepared to transition to another program when the time comes. We will also work with each family individually to assess and set up services such as tuition assistance, CHIP, referrals and other services as needed. Our program focuses on making sure every child and family is being met where they are and receiving the care they need.
Each child and family will be assessed by the program director and supervisor to assess the child's needs. Each family will need to fill out a basic information form, which can be requested by submitting a request below. If the family is involved in foster care, or working with a case worker, additional information will be required upon request.
